How to Program a SEIP TM60 / SKR433-1 / SKRJ433 Compatible Remote (incl. Gryphon Stealth)

Pair a compatible SEIP TM60 / SKR433-1 / SKRJ433 or Gryphon Stealth remote: open the motor cover, hold the red button until the LED flashes, then hold the remote button until it stops.

  • The new compatible remote with its battery fitted
  • Screwdriver (some motors have a screw securing the hinged cover)
  • Step ladder if the motor is on the ceiling
Before you start Make sure nobody is standing under or near the door while you program and test. Do this within a few metres of the motor so you can test straight away. Keep the remote and its battery away from children; if a coin or button cell is swallowed, seek immediate medical attention. If you need to open the motor housing, switch the power off first and only remove the cover the manual refers to. If you are not confident working near the motor, ask a garage door technician.

SEIP and Gryphon Stealth openers learn a remote through a red button on the main circuit board. Hold it until the LED flashes, then hold the new remote until the LED stops.

Before you start

Switch the motor off before opening the cover, then switch it back on to program. Have the remote ready before pressing the red button.

Step-by-step instructions

  1. Open the motor cover

    Depending on the model, remove the screw and open the hinged cover on the SEIP motor. Locate the red push button on the main circuit board.

  2. Enter learn mode

    Press the red button for about 3 to 5 seconds until the LED indicator begins to flash. Flashing means the motor is in learn mode.

  3. Hold a button on the new remote

    Press and hold the button on the new remote that you want to operate the door. The LED on the motor stops flashing after 1 to 2 seconds once the remote is stored.

  4. Test and close

    Press the remote to test the door, then close the cover and refit the screw.

Frequently asked questions

I do not have my original remote. Can I still program this one?
Yes. This remote pairs directly with the SEIP or Gryphon motor or receiver using the learn button, so an original remote is not required.
How do I erase all remotes from the motor?
Hold the red button for 10 seconds. After 3 seconds the light blinks, and at 10 seconds it stays on. Release the button once the light is steady and confirm the old remotes no longer work.
The LED keeps flashing after I press the remote.
Hold the remote button a little longer and stay close to the motor. If it still does not stop, replace the remote battery and repeat from step 2.
Does this cover the Gryphon Stealth TM60?
Yes. Gryphon Stealth openers use the same SKR433-1 / SKRJ433 remote and the same red learn button procedure.
Does the remote come with a battery?
Yes, a battery is pre-installed. If the LED on the remote does not light when you press a button, replace the battery before troubleshooting the programming.
