How to Program a Doorworks DC800N / DC1200N Compatible Roller Door Remote

Pair a compatible Doorworks DC800N / DC1200N roller door remote: hold P and + until LED 7 flashes, hold + until it glows, press the remote twice, then press P to save.

Time required 5 min
Difficulty Easy
Tools needed
  • The new compatible remote with its battery fitted
  • Access to the P and + buttons and the LED row on the motor
Before you start Make sure nobody is standing under or near the door while you program and test. Do this within a few metres of the motor so you can test straight away. Keep the remote and its battery away from children; if a coin or button cell is swallowed, seek immediate medical attention.

Step-by-step instructions

  1. Enter setup

Press and hold the P and + buttons on the motor at the same time until LED 7 flashes, then let go of both.

  2. Select remote learning

Press and hold + on the motor until LED 7 glows strongly, then release.

  3. Press the new remote twice

Press the button on the new remote that you want to code to the door two times. LED 7 flashes to confirm. For another handset, hold + again until LED 7 glows, then press that remote twice. Repeat for each remote.

  4. Save and exit

Press P on the motor to end setup, then test the remote.

Frequently asked questions

I do not have my original remote. Can I still program this one?
Yes. This remote pairs directly with the Doorworks motor or receiver using the learn button, so an original remote is not required.
How many remotes can the motor hold?
Six. If you program a seventh, the oldest remote is deleted automatically.
LED 7 did not flash when I pressed the remote.
Make sure LED 7 was glowing steadily before you pressed the remote, and press the remote button twice with a short pause between presses. Then try again from step 2.
Do I have to press P at the end?
Yes. Pressing P saves the settings and takes the motor out of setup. If you skip it the motor may not store the remote.
Does the remote come with a battery?
Yes, a battery is pre-installed. If the LED on the remote does not light when you press a button, replace the battery before troubleshooting the programming.
